Today is Sonic's 20th Anniversary! If you search through the net, many celebrations can be found, and one of them from Japan is placed here
Besides, I noticed a new title released in the iTunes App Store by Sega is Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing at offered price $1.99 for the next two days! According to the official notes, the price will revert to $4.99 after the offer period. But seems like this game couldn't run well for iPhone 3G or lower spec device and it didn't mention in the description, so users please take note.
Angry Birds Season has a new update again, the Summer Pignic episode. The green pigs are always funnier than the monkeys in Angry Birds Rio :p
Devil May Cry refrain also has its update in this month, with the new game mode "HEAVEN or HELL" which lets you kill enemy or be killed with a single hit!
Some other titles from Capcom like Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil Mercenaries VS, Dead Rising Mobile are dropping the price to $0.99 for limited time offer too.
There are two tournament in the past week (10-12th June 2011), CEO 2011 in Orlando, Florida, and ReveLAtions 2011 in Los Angeles, California. Both events main Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition title in the tournament, and both of them won by legendary Japanese player.
Daigo Umehara, who switched his main character from Ryu to Yun since SSFIV: AE release, and Mago who had mastered Fei Long in SSFIV claimed the first and second place of ReveLAtions, while Tokido (aka Murderface) won CEO 2011 in both SSFIV: AE and Marvel vs. Capcom 3 title!
Grand Final of ReveLAtions 2011 - Mago vs. Daigo Umehara!
There something special happened in ReveLAtions during the rest time before SSFIV: AE top 8 matches is started, a table setup for getting autograph of Daigo and Mago, and so many people line up for their autograph and shake their hand, they are superstar! lol
Other than them, we also see many top players around from world in both of these events like Sako, Ricky Ortiz, Filipino Champ, Gootecks, Hsien, GamerBee and many others. In the CEO 2011 side, the player has caught my attention was Mike Ross, he has a great performance with his E.Honda, but too bad in the late in the final he face a tough character against him, Dhalsim which played by TS Sabin, and eventually he only get the 3rd place.
On CEO 2011 side, Justin Wong vs. Tokido in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is here:
Anyway, if you missed out these events, you can watch the replay of the full events through the Justin.tv links below:
Once again, Dragon Quest and Super Mario characters crossover in Itadaki Street, and this round is for Wii (was released in NDS platform before). For people never heard about the Itadaki series, basically the game is a monopoly look a-like, player has to achieve the objective set in the game and reach to the goal for victory.
In the previous games in the series, player can level up, use certain tricks, attacks, or even magic from drawing a card by luck to stop opponents from reaching to the goal. This game set to be released in year 2011 but no specify date announced.
The next Devil May Cry in the series, it never lost its cool but Dante's new look is unacceptable for and I guess for many fans too, unless it comes out something really special.
Kylatw from Youtube posted "This is a story of a theft who stole Dante's Clothing and weapons", hmph... I actually got the same feeling so far LOL
New trailer reveal around the E3 2011 event as well as some gameplay footage! Remember this game has the biggest size enemy in the game history? ~ Asura's Wrath!
